| IO2 develops technology and associated intellectual property
relating to advanced interface platforms including patented, as well as
patent pending systems.
The Heliodisplay is one product line
commercialized from part of our core technology developed at
IO2.
The
productization of the current Heliodisplay system,
represents a component of the IP available for license.
More advanced versions of the current technology are
under development including alternate free-space
imaging systems to meet the future growing demand
for digital communication and representation.

Lack of Physical Screen Images hover above the Heliodisplay. The translucency is controllable. Thus, the Heliodisplay allows for easy communication through the image, for unobtrusive viewing and for easy re-use of space.
Interactive The image generated can serve as an input device "a virtual touchscreen". Just as a user can manipulate an image on a computer screen with a mouse, a user can manipulate the floating image by touching the air into which the image is projected (navigate, translate, select icons, etc.).
Dual Viewing The
core technology supports viewing from both the front and the back. Two people sitting opposite each other can view exactly the same image or separate images while interacting with the images concurrently. Additionally, the
core technology can provide discrete, private viewing by generating an image visible from one side and invisible or visible (reversed) from the other side.
Ease of Use The Heliodisplay is self contained. It accepts most video sources and requires minimal computer processing power for its interactive capabilities.
Scalable The Heliodisplay is scalable. The technology can be scaled up and oriented vertically or horizontally. The technology is also customizable for different applications, including image size, resolution, interactivity, etc. We have built Heliodisplays with various form factors; down to the small lunchbox as well as alternate larger systems with different imaging
characteristics to serve specialized applications.
Example Applications: * Advertising and Promotion, e.g.: trade shows; in-store displays; museum, movie and casino displays; theme parks. *Collaborative Decision Making, e.g.: board meetings and presentations; command and control; architectural and engineering design; teleconferencing. * Simulation & Training, e.g.: virtual targets; pre-operative planning. * Consumer, e.g.: video games; home theatre.
Less Obvious Examples: * Transparent teleprompter. * Heads-up displays in new fields. * Build one into a door jamb and have a walk through image or virtual privacy screen. * An in-store end cap advertising display and demonstration through which the customer can reach and grab shown product. * Build the Heliodisplay into furniture, e.g. project from desk.
